Born in 1963 in a rural community on the outskirts of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Scott Addis studied at the University of Cincinnati as well as under renowned artists, including Igor Babailov.
Now living in Canada, he gets his inspiration from the Quebec and Ontario landscapes, the rugged tundra and the spectacular seasons. The artist’s paintings are infused with feeling and emotion: “Excitement in my life yields intense, brilliant colours, and sadness translates into muted, more subdued tones. The complexities of life lead to more complex compositions”.
Addis show regularly throughout Canada and the United States. His work can be found in many private and corporate collections across North America, including the Government of Canada.
